Google Docs Can now Use Gemini and Imagen 3 Image Generation
Google is expanding its AI capabilities in Google Docs by introducing a new feature that allows users to generate high-quality images directly within their documents. This enhancement, moreover, is powered by Google’s advanced Imagen 3 image generation model. It enables users to create photorealistic images with just a simple text prompt. Consequently, this innovation unlocks countless possibilities for designing visually appealing documents. For example, users can create everything from stunning cover images to eye-catching illustrations. Furthermore, this seamless integration promises to boost creativity and streamline workflows for users.
How to Use the New Image Generation Tool
To use this feature, simply navigate to the Insert menu and select Image. From there, choose the “Help me create an image” option. This will open a new panel where you can input your desired image description, select an aspect ratio, and choose a specific style. Once you’re ready, click the Create button to generate a few image options.
Availability
This new image generation feature is currently rolling out to Google Workspace subscribers. It will be available to users with Gemini Business, Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Education, Gemini Education Premium, and Google Workspace plans with a Google One AI Premium subscription.
While Google hasn’t provided specific details about a wider release, it’s likely that this feature will eventually be made available to a broader audience.
