Intel Unveils New Arc Pro B60 and B50 GPUs and AI Accelerators at Computex 2025
Intel recently made significant waves at Computex 2025, unveiling a new lineup of Intel Arc Pro B60 and B50 GPUs and AI accelerators aimed at professionals and developers.
New Intel Arc Pro B60 and B50 GPUs for AI and Professional Workstations
Headlining the product launches are the new Intel Arc Pro B-Series GPUs, comprising the Intel Arc Pro B60 and Intel Arc Pro B50. These additions expand Intel’s professional graphics family, offering configurations specifically tailored for AI inference and demanding professional workstation tasks. Built on the advanced Xe2 architecture, the new GPUs feature Intel Xe Matrix Extensions (XMX) AI cores and enhanced ray tracing units, promising high-performance capabilities for creators, developers, and engineers.
The Intel Arc Pro B60 boasts 24 gigabytes (GB) of memory, while the B50 comes equipped with 16GB. Both GPUs are designed for multi-GPU scalability, offering a versatile and cost-effective solution for AI developers and creative professionals working on demanding workloads in areas like architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC). Intel emphasises the stability and performance of the B-Series through extensive independent software vendor (ISV) certifications and optimised software. Notably, the GPUs support both consumer and professional drivers on Windows and a containerised software stack on Linux for simplified AI deployments, with ongoing feature and optimisation updates planned.
Intel Gaudi 3 Accelerators Powering Enterprise AI
Further bolstering its AI offerings, Intel announced the general availability of its Intel Gaudi 3 AI accelerators in both PCIe card and rack-scale system configurations. These accelerators provide scalable and open solutions for enterprise and cloud AI inferencing, catering to the increasing demand for high-performance computing in AI applications.
Empowering Developers with Intel AI Assistant Builder
In a move to empower developers in building custom AI solutions, Intel also announced the public availability of the Intel AI Assistant Builder on GitHub. This tool enables developers to create local, purpose-built AI agents optimised for Intel platforms.
Project Battlematrix: A New Platform for AI Development
Intel also previewed a configurable workstation-class Intel Xeon-based platform (code-named Project Battlematrix) designed to streamline AI development workflows. This platform can support up to eight Intel Arc Pro B60 24GB GPUs, enabling the training and deployment of medium-sized (up to 150 billion parameters) and accurate AI models with a massive 192GB of video random-access memory.
Availability
According to Intel, the Arc Pro B60 GPU will begin sampling from add-in board partners, including ASRock, Gunnir, Lanner, Maxsun, Onix, Senao, and Sparkle, starting in June 2025. The Intel Arc Pro B50 GPU is expected to be available through Intel-authorised resellers beginning in July 2025.
