Beats Announce The Beats Studio Buds

Today, Beats have finally unveiled the much anticipated Beats Studio Buds, their second pair of true wireless earbuds. The new buds feature a much more compact design than the previous Poerbeats Pro and have no ear hooks or stems, which make it a lightweight pair of earbuds.

The Studio Buds also feature active noise cancellation and IPX4 water and dust resistance. According to Beats, the buds can last up to 5 hours on a single charge with noise cancellation turned on and 8 hours if you turn off noise cancellation. They also charge via USB-C but there is no wireless charging available. Beats are supporting both iOS and Android features with this new pair or earbuds. For iPhones, you will have the familiar, easy AirPods-like setup and Control Center integration and on Android devices Beats now works with Fast Pair and Google’s Find My Device features.

According to the company, they have come up with an all new acoustic architecture design for the Studio Buds, which have 8.2-millimeter drivers, and the company claims you can expect “outstanding stereo separation and low harmonic distortion across the frequency curve so you hear every note.” The new earbuds are now available for pre-order in the US and Canada and will be officially released on June 24th for $149.99 in red, black or white.
