A New Era of Foldables: Google’s Pixel 10 Pro Fold Now Available in Malaysia
Apart from the main Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL, the company’s latest foldable device, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, also stole the show with a series of significant upgrades, including a larger cover display and an increased battery capacity.
The new foldable is powered by the same Tensor G5 SoC found in the rest of the new Pixel 10 lineup and comes with a 5,015 mAh battery, a substantial increase over its predecessor. This larger battery, combined with 30W wired charging and 15W Qi2 wireless charging, promises all-day power and faster top-ups. According to Google, the device can reach a 50% charge in just 30 minutes.
Visually, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold features an expansive 8-inch 2076×2156 LTPO OLED folding screen and a larger 6.4-inch 1080×2364 LTPS OLED cover display, both boasting a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The cover display also features a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. The device maintains a sleek profile at 10.8mm when folded and a slim 5.2mm when unfolded, weighing in at 258g. It is also IP68 certified for dust and water resistance, a key durability upgrade.
For photography, the device is equipped with a versatile quad-camera system. The rear array includes a 48 MP main sensor, a 10.5 MP ultrawide lens with a 127-degree field-of-view, and a 10.8 MP telephoto lens offering 5x optical zoom. Two 10 MP selfie cameras are integrated into both the main and cover screens.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold runs on Android 16 and is slated to receive seven years of major Android updates, security patches, and Pixel Drops. It offers 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold marks the first time a Google foldable is officially available in Malaysia, as the company previously did not release the original Fold in the country. The device is priced starting from RM7,999. It will be available in the same two colour variants, Moonstone and Jade.
Preorders for the device are now open, with in-store availability starting on 9 October. You can find the Pixel 10 Pro Fold at participating retailers and telcos, including Shopee, Urban Republic, Sen Heng, and Thunder Match.
