Honor Looks Set To Join The Foldable World

The foldable market has become more and more competitive over time with a lot more companies releasing foldable devices. The latest company to join the race is reportedly Honor with their Honor Magic Fold.

Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) has released their latest report and it has an interesting mention of Honor in their highlights. Based on the report, Honor are developing their own foldable called the Magic Fold. It will reportedly have in-folding panels, just like the ones found on the Galaxy Z Fold 2. The panels are supposedly going to be made by Visionox and BOE but there have been no other rumours regarding internal specs.

There has also been a rumour that Google and Xiaomi will be releasing their own foldable smartphones and this report suggests that we could see these coming in late 2021, which ties up with many rumours suggesting more foldables in Q4 2021.

Honor have just announced their Honor 50 series of smartphones. This lineup is the first lineup for smartphones the company has announced after splitting off from Huawei. These phones also finally come with Google Mobile Services on board.
