Microsoft released their official Windows 11 preview just last week which allows consumers to beta test the new build of Windows. Since then, we have seen the build be ported to the 2015 Lumia 950 XL Windows Phone. We now also have a OnePlus 6T running the platform.
This was done by a group called the Renegade Project. This group dedicate themselves to porting Windows, Linux and Arm-based versions of other operating systems to phones powered by a Snapdragon 845. One of the members has posted a video showing Windows 11 being installed and run on a OnePlus 6T.

The video description notes that the CPU, touchscreen, USB and Bluetooth features work but WiFi, non Bluetooth audio, cellular connectivity and other sensors are not running just yet. It also seems like GPU support is only partially implemented right now due to the lack of a working GPU driver.
Richard Gráčik, a member of the Renegade Project confirmed to Android Authority that the group have managed to port Windows 11 to the OnePlus 6 and other phones powered by the Snapdragon 845.
The project lists several supported phones such as the Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, Poco F1, and Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus. But it’s unclear if they specifically support Windows 11 as well or support other Arm-based platforms in general as part of the overall project.
This is not the first time we have seen Windows on Arm running on a Snapdragon 845 phone as the project previously ported Windows 10 on Arm to Snapdragon 845 devices.
Windows 11 should allow for a smoother experience on Snapdragon 845 devices and hopefully it will be possible to also port this platform to Snapdragon 865 series and Snapdragon 888 series phones.
