Adobe’s Photoshop Camera Is The AI-Powered Camera of Your Dreams

What is a photo? These days that question is harder to answer given the fact that what we see with our eyes isn’t exactly what comes out in the photo as an Artificial Intelligence (AI) processes it before we even blink.

Adobe now has expanded its portfolio of apps to include a new Photoshop Camera app that boasts the company’s powerful Sensei AI framework to enhance photos straight on your smartphone.

Much like your typical built-in AI mode in your default cameras, Adobe’s offering is able to recognise different subjects like people, landscapes, objects like food or if you are taking a selfie.

Adobe’s AI is able to take all this information in and automatically apply some complex adjustments that give your photos a different look. They sort of work like different lenses that you would attach to a clunky old DSLR, giving you different looks.

But now in the age of social media, these lenses take a life of their own and Adobe is already looking to label these lenses with the collaboration of popular celebrities like teenage singer Billie Eilish.

Excited? Well, you will have to wait a little longer before you are able to get the app on your Android or iOS device next year. There is however a public preview program that you can sign up for if you can’t wait to enhance your photos.
