While the Samsung Galaxy S9 & the S9+ has one of the best hardware in a smartphone, the software for the camera app is decent but it definitely not as great as what Google has to offer for their Pixel devices.

Google was so confident with their software optimization until they decided to just built a phone in 2018 with a single rear lens for their latest Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL.

So after researching and trying out various apps online which claims to “work”. This is the only one which works very well with my Samsung Galaxy s9+ with both the HDR+ and the Portrait mode on.

However, unfortunately, the Portrait Mode only works for the back camera so you either can attempt to take a picture of yourself through the rear camera (some people can really do that very well) or get someone to take a photo of you and as expected from the camera app, you can take get portrait pictures of objects as well.
