Pixel 10 Unveiled: Google’s Latest Flagship Gets a Telephoto Camera
Google officially took the wraps off its new Pixel 10 series at a Made by Google event in Brooklyn, New York. The new lineup includes the Pixel 10, 10 Pro,10 Pro XL, and the 10 Pro Fold. The base Pixel 10 model features a triple rear camera system for the first time, a move that was widely anticipated following a series of leaks.

While maintaining a design similar to its predecessor, the Pixel 10 is distinguished by its pill-shaped camera module on the rear, which now accommodates three sensors. The camera system is comprised of a 48 MP primary sensor, a 13 MP ultrawide shooter, and a new 10.8 MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. The device also sports a 10.5 MP front-facing camera with autofocus. However, the ultrawide camera is noted as a slight downgrade from the Pixel 9.
At its core, the new Pixel is powered by the TSMC-made 3nm Tensor G5 SoC, paired with the Titan M2 security chip. This is complemented by 12 GB of RAM and storage options of 128 GB or 256 GB, both utilising UFS 4.0 technology.
The phone features a 6.3-inch LTPS Actua display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. While the LTPS technology limits its adaptive refresh rate to between 60Hz and 120Hz, the display is notably brighter, with a claimed peak of 2,000 nits in high brightness mode. The screen remains protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Other notable features of the Pixel 10 include an improved ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Google is continuing its commitment to software longevity by offering seven years of OS and security updates, with the phone shipping with Android 16 out of the box.
Powering the device is a slightly larger 4,970 mAh battery, which now supports 29W wired charging and 15W Qi2 wireless charging. The phone is also compatible with the newly introduced Qi2 Pixelsnap accessories.
The Google Pixel 10 is priced starting at RM3,999. The phone will be available in four colours: Obsidian, Frost, Indigo, and Lemongrass. Pre-orders are now open through retailers and the official Pixel store on Shopee, with official availability scheduled for 28 August.
