During Google’s big event where the Pixel 4 was announced it also introduced a couple of other devices. Chief among them was their answer to Apple’s AirPod, dubbed the Google Pixel Buds.
This product represents Google’s first attempt at creating a pair of wireless earbuds.
The crowning feature of the Pixel Buds is their integration with Google Assistant, giving users hands-free access to their virtual assistant with just the words “Hey Google” or “Okay Google”.
Each Pixel Bud has two built-in microphones that Google claims to be able to filter out background noises and focus on your voice through the use of a “voice accelerometer”.
Built of distraction free listening, the Pixel Buds boast spatial vents on each bud that Google says is able to tune out just the right about of noise with its Adaptive Sound (their version of Active Noise Cancelling) so you don’t have to adjust the volume every time you enter different environments be it noisy or quiet.
The Pixel Buds are said to have decent battery life of up to 5 hours of continuous listening and boasts up to 24 hours of listening time with the wireless charging case.
Google’s Pixel Buds are set to debut in 2020 in the US with a retail price of US$179 (RM749).
