According to prominent Weibo tipster @DigitalChatStation, HUAWEI is actively evaluating a dual-periscope system for the Pura 80 Ultra. Alleged live images of the device further bolster this claim, seemingly showing a dual periscope telephoto lens unit integrated into the rear camera module.

Moreover, the tipster elaborates that both periscope sensors are expected to boast 50MP resolution and incorporate HUAWEI’s signature RYYB filter. This Red-Yellow-Yellow-Blue filter, known for replacing two green filters with yellow, broadens the light spectrum reaching the sensor. This design choice dramatically boosts light sensitivity and effectively minimises noise in low-light conditions, promising brighter and clearer images.
Experts anticipate that a dual-periscope configuration will offer greater flexibility in focal lengths, giving users a more versatile and robust image-capturing experience.
