HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 Launches with EN 13319 Certification
HUAWEI has introduced the HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2, a new smartwatch aimed at outdoor enthusiasts and professionals. The device has been certified under the EN 13319 standard, indicating compliance for diving accessories, and supports a maximum diving depth of 150 metres.
The HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 is constructed with a zirconium-based liquid metal case, a dual-colour nanocrystal ceramic bezel, and protective sapphire glass. The watch will be available in two colour options: Black and Blue.
Underwater Capabilities and Safety Features
The watch integrates a sonar-based communication system, an unusual feature for a wearable. This system allows divers to transmit preset messages and emojis to other users within a 30-metre range. For emergencies, an Underwater SOS function is supported up to a maximum range of 60 metres. Additionally, the device’s design and waterproof rating allow for aquatic activities, including support for underwater calling and music playback.
Health Monitoring and Connectivity
For health tracking, the watch utilises the TruSense system, supported by X-TAP and rear super-sensing modules. This system provides 10 key health metrics through the Health Glance feature, covering real-time SpO₂ monitoring, heart rate, and sleep analysis.
Connectivity is supported by a gap antenna system designed to boost signal strength, and the HUAWEI Sunflower Positioning System, which offers dual-band five-system positioning for location accuracy in outdoor settings. The HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 supports independent calls via eSIM and includes AI call noise cancellation. Other integrated safety features include Fall Detection, Emergency SOS, and High-Altitude Monitoring.
Just like its predecessor, the watch also features a dedicated Golf Course Mode, which contains maps for over 17,000 global courses, offering metrics such as slope-adjusted distance and trajectory replay. Battery life is rated at up to 11 days with light usage and up to 6 days under typical conditions.
Pricing and Availability
The HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 is now available for pre-order in Malaysia with a starting price of RM3,499.
Pre-orders can be placed through several official channels, including the HUAWEI Official Website, Official E-commerce Stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, and HUAWEI Experience Stores (HES) nationwide.
