Lenovo Launches a New Era of AI-Powered Laptops with the ThinkPad P Series
Lenovo has unveiled a new lineup of ThinkPad mobile workstations and innovative concepts at its Innovation World 2025 event in Berlin. The new products and services are designed to accelerate and enhance AI solutions for business users, featuring powerful processors with integrated AI capabilities and bold new designs.
ThinkPad’s AI-Ready Powerhouses

The spotlight of the event was on the redesigned ThinkPad P16 Gen 3 mobile workstation, which now features a more portable chassis while retaining its power as a desktop replacement. It’s built to handle demanding workloads with the latest Intel Core Ultra 200HX series processors, which boast up to 24 cores and an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for efficient AI processing. The P16 Gen 3 can be equipped with up to NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell graphics with 24GB of VRAM, making it a powerhouse for graphics-intensive tasks like 3D rendering and professional gaming.

Lenovo also introduced other new additions to the ThinkPad P series, including:
- ThinkPad P1 Gen 8: A perfect blend of mobility and performance, this laptop is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2) and is ideal for content creators and CAD specialists on the go.
- ThinkPad P16v Gen 3: A powerful yet affordable mobile workstation with a sleek new 16:10 display and narrow bezels.
- ThinkPad P16s i Gen 4 and ThinkPad P14s i Gen 6: These are the thinnest and lightest mobile workstations in Lenovo’s lineup, designed for professionals who need portability without compromising on performance.
In a striking visual update, the ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition will soon be available in a new Glacier White finish. This model, a Copilot+ PC, delivers over 40 TOPS of AI performance and is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors and Windows 11.
Groundbreaking Concepts and Accessories

Lenovo didn’t just showcase new hardware; it also revealed several “proofs of concept” that hint at the future of PC design.
- The Lenovo ThinkBook VertiFlex Concept is one of the industry’s first 14-inch rotatable PC display concepts. This ultra-slim device allows users to switch between traditional horizontal and vertical orientations, which is perfect for split-screen multitasking or reviewing documents.
- The Lenovo Smart Motion Concept is a multi-directional laptop stand that integrates with the laptop’s camera, microphone, and speakers to offer features like auto-facial tracking and voice control. It even includes an AI ring for gesture control.
- The Lenovo NaturaSynth Display is a proof-of-concept monitor with hardware-based zero blue light technology, which mimics natural light to significantly reduce visual fatigue.

To complement its new laptops, Lenovo announced a series of new smart docks. The ThinkPad Thunderbolt 5 Smart Dock 7500 features lightning-fast bandwidth of up to 120 Gbps, capable of driving multiple 8K displays. These new smart docks, along with others in the portfolio, are designed to elevate workspaces and are supported by Lenovo Accessories Fleet Manager for remote IT management.
