Lenovo Launches New ThinkStation Desktops and Workstation Solutions

Lenovo Expands AI Portfolio with New Workstations and ThinkStation Desktops

Following its recent announcement of the new ThinkCentre M Series Gen 6 desktops and ThinkVision T Series Gen 40 monitors, Lenovo has now announced the launch of a new portfolio of Workstation Solutions and updates to its ThinkStation P2 and P3 desktop workstations. The new products are designed to meet the performance and workflow requirements of professionals in fields such as engineering, design, architecture, data science, and research.

The new Workstation Solutions are described as a series of industry-specific reference architectures, developed by Lenovo to address common workflow challenges. These solutions are built on Lenovo’s workstations and feature hardware, software, and services tailored for specific tasks. The initial focus areas are remote access for hybrid teams, AI development, and spatial computing.

The first solution, “Lenovo Access,” is aimed at remote workers. The offering is based on a reference architecture powered by seven rack-mounted Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Ultra Small Form Factor (SFF) workstations. Each of these SFF workstations can be configured with up to an NVIDIA RTX 4000 SFF Ada Generation GPU, up to 128GB of memory, and up to 16TB of storage. The solution is designed to provide dedicated workstation access with features for remote management and enhanced security.

Lenovo also unveiled the next generation of its ThinkStation P2 and P3 desktop workstations. These updated models will include NVIDIA RTX PRO Blackwell Workstation Edition GPUs and are ISV-certified. The new lineup includes:

  • ThinkStation P3 Tower Gen 2: An AI-ready workstation with Intel Core Ultra 9 processors, offering increased DDR5 memory capacity and expanded storage. It supports up to NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q graphics.
  • ThinkStation P3 Ultra SFF Gen 2: This compact workstation has a volume of less than four litres. It features Intel Core Ultra 9 processors and can be equipped with up to NVIDIA RTX 4000 SFF Ada Generation graphics. It includes support for PCIe Gen 5 and additional M.2 slots for storage expansion.
  • ThinkStation P3 Tiny Gen 2: A one-litre workstation that supports up to six independent displays. It is powered by Intel Core Ultra 9 processors and can be configured with up to NVIDIA RTX A1000 graphics. It also features faster DDR5 memory, more M.2 slots, WiFi 7 connectivity, and Thunderbolt 4 support.
  • ThinkStation P2 Tower Gen 2: A 17-litre tower that features Intel Core Ultra 9 processors and NVIDIA Ada Generation graphics. The workstation is enhanced with PCIe Gen 5 support, faster DDR5 memory, and more M.2 slots.

The new ThinkStation models are now available. Starting prices are RM5,188 for the P3 Tower Gen 2, RM5,358 for the P3 Ultra SFF Gen 2, RM4,588 for the P3 Tiny Gen 2, and RM5,868 for the P2 Tower Gen 2.
