Imagine your table does more than just hold your coffee. What if it purified your air, charged your phone, and even set the mood?
Well, I’ve been using LG’s new AeroFurniture for a week, and the results were surprising. But is it worth spending money on? Well, let’s find out.
Design
All right, let’s talk about the design first. As you can see, it doesn’t even look like an air purifier, definitely doesn’t look like any purifier that I’ve reviewed.
It has a really slick and minimal design, and it fits seamlessly with any interior, whether or not it is modern, industrial, you name it. Honestly, it is so sleek that you never even know that this is an air purifier. It’s like the James Bond of tables, undercover but looking good while doing its job.
And for those of you with a limited space in your house, this is perfect because it doubles up as a piece of furniture since it is functional as a table. So you can use it for books, deco items, or even your morning coffee, and it just blends right in with your existing setup.
The build quality feels solid and durable too. It weighs about 7.2 kg, so it’s easy to move around, and it also is quite sturdy, so you don’t have to worry about it tipping over if you accidentally bump into it.
The design is also quite a conversation starter too because people might not even realize that it is an air purifier until you tell them. On top of that, you even get a wireless charger, but more on that later.
Features
Let’s get into the air purification system because LG didn’t just give us a basic filter here. It comes with a 360-degree HEPA filtration system that removes up to 99.99% of airborne bacteria and ultrafine dust particles.
It has a recommended area of about 19.8m² for the best filtration effect, and while it’s not the widest in the world, it does perfectly fine for rooms such as your bedroom, study, or even your home office. It also works in a medium-sized room as well.
But if you live in a city where the pollution levels are higher or if you have allergies, this is a total game changer since it does capture everything from pet dander to pollen and dust particles—basically anything that triggers allergies or makes the air stale. So if you’re like me who has a cat that sheds like it’s trying to make another cat, this purifier is a game changer.
But LG didn’t stop at just purifying the air because they also included something called the UVnano technology. What this does is to keep the fan blades clean by killing 99.99% of bacteria on them.
This is an awesome feature because, over time, bacteria can build on fan blades in traditional purifiers, affecting the overall air quality and potentially spreading germs. And with this UVnano, you get a constant flow of clean air and have one less thing to worry about.
Then of course, having wireless charging is something that everybody can definitely appreciate because of the charging pad that is on the tabletop.
I’ve tested both my phone and my wireless earbuds, and it works seamlessly where you just have to place your phone on the table, and it starts charging automatically. So this is great when you’re just relaxing or maybe just watching Netflix, and you don’t want to get up and find a charger if your phone is out of battery.
Now, wireless charging is convenient, but there’s another feature which I didn’t expect, which is customizable mood lighting. But before that, if you’re wondering if the table part of the purifier is detachable, then you are absolutely correct. Not only is it detachable, but it’s also very easy to assemble and can be done without even looking at the user manual because this detachable function is super user-friendly.
All you have to do is to attach the table to the body by aligning the ports to the corresponding notches of the connectors at the top of the body, and to detach it, you just need to press the two release buttons over here and pull it off. That’s it.
But as mentioned earlier, my favorite part is this customizable mood lighting, which comes with eight color options that you can control through the ThinQ app. So whether you want a relaxing purple color or a vibrant red, you can set the vibe with just a few taps.
The colors are also very vibrant too, so it’s perfect if you want to host your friends or just want to wind down for some mood lighting.
For me, I love also using the warm tones in the evening just to make the space a little more cozy, and if you’re working, a brighter light can keep you a bit more focused because it’s all about setting the right mood.
One of the things that is really important with any purifier is the noise level, especially if you’re using it in a smaller-sized bedroom. LG officially rates this air purifier at 44 dB at its loudest and 21 dB at its lowest. Now that is impressively quiet.
I tested that theory on the highest settings, and it’s surprisingly quiet. You can even barely notice that it’s on, which is a huge plus if you’re sensitive to noise when you want to keep this running while you’re sleeping.
App
All right, let’s talk about the LG ThinQ app because this is where you can control everything remotely. Not only can you control the mood lighting, but you can also check the air quality, turn the purifier on and off, and even set a schedule for when you want the purifier to run.
So this is very useful, especially if you’re not at home and you want to start your purifier before you arrive. You can set it to also run at night when you’re sleeping so you can wake up to fresh and clean air.
Another feature that I really like is the scheduling function because you can set specific times for the purifier to turn on or off, so you don’t have to worry about forgetting to turn it off, which sometimes I do, especially when I’m in a rush.
So yeah, it’s the little things like this that make it super convenient, so kudos to LG for including such a feature.
Conclusion
So in conclusion, the LG PuriCare™ AeroFurniture isn’t just an air purifier. It is functional, stylish, and enhances any room in multiple ways, where it purifies your air, charges your devices, and of course, sets the perfect mood lighting. And it does it quietly and very efficiently.
And all of this comes with a price of RM2,500 or USD 567, with color options of this particular White, Brown, and Black, where you can even rent it for as low as only RM50 per month with self-service and a 7-year filter subscription too, where the filter will be delivered to your doorstep every 6 months.

So at the end of the day, think about it this way—it’s like buying three things at once: a table, an air purifier, and a conversation starter for when people ask: “Why does your table glow purple?”
