First unveiled at COMPUTEX last May, the new MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 monitor features a 26.5-inch Quantum Dot OLED panel with a WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution. It has a refresh rate of 500Hz and a 0.03ms (GtG) response time, aiming to provide a fast and clear visual experience for gamers.

To address OLED panel longevity, the monitor includes a three-year burn-in warranty. It also incorporates MSI’s AI Care Sensor, which uses a sensor to detect user presence and activate OLED protection features when the user is away. The display is certified with VESA ClearMR 21000 and DisplayHDR True Black 500, indicating its motion clarity and contrast capabilities.

MSI’s MEG Vision X AI 2nd desktop is designed with a focus on AI integration. A key feature is the AI HMI (Human-Machine Interface), a 13-inch built-in touchscreen with a mic and speaker that provides an interface for system control. The desktop is built with an Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor 285K and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series graphics card, offering a combined performance of up to 3400 total TOPS.

The system’s AI capabilities are also used for thermal and network management. Its Silent Storm Cooling AI system uses an algorithm to optimise fan speeds based on component temperatures, including the SSD. Intel Killer Networking employs AI to prioritise network traffic for improved performance. The AI HMI app can also adjust widgets and backgrounds based on the software being used.

The MEG Vision X AI 2nd desktop also features high-speed components, including a PCIe 5.0 SSD and DDR5 memory. The design features a back-plate motherboard to manage cable clutter and a 360mm AIO liquid cooler for effective CPU heat dissipation.

The introduction of both the new monitor and the desktop indicates MSI’s direction in combining high-performance hardware with integrated AI technology.

Pricing and Availability

The MEG Vision X AI 2nd gaming desktop is priced at RM28,999, while the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 monitor is available for RM4,899.
