Nothing Ear (3) Debuts in Malaysia, “Cuts Through the Noise” with New Tech and Metal Design
Nothing today officially launched its next-generation flagship earbuds, the Nothing Ear (3), in Malaysia. The new True Wireless Stereo (TWS) device introduces a number of significant upgrades, including a groundbreaking “Super Mic” housed within the charging case and a refined design that incorporates metal for the first time.

The company states that the Nothing Ear (3) is set to “redefine in-ear audio,” combining precision acoustics with an aesthetic that remains unmistakably Nothing. The signature transparent casing now features polished metal accents, and the charging case is crafted from 100% recycled aluminium, fused with plastic using nano injection moulding for a seamless unibody.
At the core of the new earbuds is the innovative Super Mic, a dual-microphone system integrated into the charging case. Powered by ambient-filtering technology, this feature is designed to isolate the user’s voice and suppress surrounding noise by up to 95 dB, ensuring crystal-clear calls even in loud environments. Users can activate the mic by pressing the “TALK” button on the case, making it convenient for quick conversations. Additionally, the Super Mic allows for instant voice note recordings that automatically sync to Essential Space and are transcribed (requires Nothing OS).

To further enhance call quality, each earbud is equipped with three directional microphones and a bone-conduction Voice Pick-up Unit (VPU). The VPU detects subtle vibrations from the user’s jaw and ear canal to precisely capture their voice, working in tandem with a multi-channel AI noise-cancellation system trained on millions of hours of audio to suppress wind noise by over 25dB.
For listening, the Nothing Ear (3) features Real-time Adaptive Noise Cancellation, which can suppress noise by up to 45 dB. This intelligent system constantly adjusts to the user’s surroundings every 600 milliseconds and monitors for fit-related sound leakage every 1,875 milliseconds, ensuring consistent sound isolation. An upgraded 12mm dynamic driver with a patterned diaphragm provides a 20% larger radiating area, leading to a noticeable boost in bass (4-6 dB) and treble (up to 4 dB) for a wider soundstage.

In terms of performance, the Nothing Ear (3) offers a single-charge listening time of up to 10 hours, an increase of 90 minutes over its predecessor. With the charging case, total battery life extends to 38 hours. A quick 10-minute USB-C charge provides up to 10 hours of playback, and the case supports built-in wireless charging.
Connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC for stable, high-fidelity audio. The earbuds also feature a low-latency mode for gaming and video, and they support effortless pairing with Android (Google Fast Pair), iOS, and Windows (Microsoft Swift Pair). Users can customise controls and activate Essential Space or ChatGPT via the Nothing X app. Both the earbuds and the case are IP54-rated, providing resistance to dust, sweat, and light rain.
The Nothing Ear (3) will be available in black and white, priced at RM759. Open sales are set to begin on 6 October 2025 through online platforms and select retail partners, including Nothing.tech, Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop, DirectD, TMT, URBAN REPUBLIC, Vivid Concepts, TAC Mobile, SS Solution, and the Nothing Image Store.
