One UI 8 Beta Arrives for Galaxy S24, Fold6 and Flip6 Users

One UI 8 Beta Programme Expands to More Galaxy Devices

Samsung has announced a significant expansion of its One UI 8 beta programme, making the next-generation software available to a wider range of Galaxy devices. This update is set to introduce advanced multimodal capabilities and more intuitive Galaxy AI experiences to users.

The One UI 8 beta programme, which was initially launched with the Galaxy S25 series in May, will be available to Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6 users starting next week in select regions, including Korea, the U.S., the U.K., and India.

The expansion will continue in September, with the beta programme becoming available for a number of additional devices. These include the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and several mid-range models such as the A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G, and A54. Users of eligible devices can register for the beta programme through the Samsung Members app.

One UI 8 focuses on smarter and more convenient AI experiences. It features multimodal capabilities that understand real-time user context and facilitate more natural interactions. A notable feature is the integration with Google’s Gemini, which can be activated by voice or by long-pressing a Galaxy Buds3 or Buds3 Pro earbud. The new One UI 8 is designed to enhance productivity and efficiency across different Galaxy form factors with personalised and proactive suggestions.

The official version of One UI 8 is scheduled for a September release, with the Galaxy S25 series being the first to receive the update. Samsung will incorporate feedback from the beta programme participants to refine the final version. Additionally, the One UI 8 Watch update will be extended to more Galaxy Watch models beyond the Galaxy Watch8 series later this year, bringing new health features and a more intuitive interface to a broader audience.
