Samsung has announced that RM, a member of K-Pop icons BTS, has been appointed as the official global ambassador for Samsung Art TVs. This significant role marks one of his first official activities following his much-anticipated return from mandatory military service in Korea.
RM: A Global Art Connoisseur and New Ambassador

Known globally for his profound appreciation and connoisseurship of the arts, RM has frequently garnered attention for his visits to renowned museums and his impressive private collection of contemporary artworks. In his new capacity, he will lend his unique perspective and passion for visual art to Samsung TV users worldwide.
“RM’s passion for art and culture deeply resonates with our vision to make art more accessible through technology,” stated Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “We’re thrilled to welcome him as the ambassador for Samsung Art TVs, and we believe his voice will inspire a new generation to explore the world of art in meaningful, personal ways.”
Bridging Art and Technology with Samsung Art TVs

Samsung Art TVs, which include models such as MICRO LED, The Frame, Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED, and QLED (Q7F and above), are designed to bring art to life through advanced display technology. A key aspect of RM’s ambassadorship will be his contribution to the Samsung Art Store, a subscription-based service offering over 3,500 high-resolution artworks in 4K. Users will now be able to access curated content featuring RM’s personal reflections and commentary on selected pieces, offering fans and art enthusiasts an exclusive insight into his aesthetic sensibilities.
RM expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying, “As someone who finds deep inspiration and comfort in art, I’m honoured to partner with Samsung to share my journey and love for visual creativity. Through this collaboration, I hope more people can connect with art in their everyday lives — just like I do.”
Global Presence: From Art Basel to Your Living Room
Further solidifying his role, RM recently made an appearance at Art Basel in Basel, Switzerland, one of the world’s leading international art fairs. During a special session, he shared his insights on contemporary art, collecting, and the cultural importance of visual storytelling. Highlights and behind-the-scenes moments from this event are available on the Samsung Global Newsroom.
This partnership between RM and Samsung Art TVs is poised to foster a fresh dialogue at the intersection of art, technology, and global pop culture, reinforcing Samsung’s dedication to making world-class art more accessible and personal, with him serving as a vital link between the public and the art world.
