Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is Now Here
Months after its initial teaser during the main S25 Series launch, Samsung has finally unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. The device is a mixture of premium, pro-level performance with a resilient titanium body measuring a mere 5.8mm in thickness.
Design and Display
The Galaxy S25 Edge features an incredibly thin 5.8mm chassis and a lightweight design of just 163 grams. It also comes with curved edges and a robust titanium frame. The device features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution of 3120 x 1440 pixels. It also supports a smooth 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. For added durability, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, which is as tough as the one on the S25 Ultra but without the anti-glare coating.
Performance and Storage
Powering the Galaxy S25 Edge is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy. The device comes equipped with 12GB of RAM for seamless multitasking. Users can choose between 256GB or 512GB of internal storage to accommodate their files and media.
Camera System
The Galaxy S25 Edge features a dual-camera system on the rear. To begin with, the primary 200MP wide-angle lens (f/1.7) with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 2x optical-quality zoom, along with up to 10x AI zoom, aims to capture exceptional detail and improve low-light performance. In addition, the 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2) with autofocus enables crisp and detailed macro photography. Meanwhile, for selfies and video calls, the front of the device features a 12MP camera (f/2.2) with an 85-degree field of view. Finally, the ProVisual Engine optimizes image processing for superior results.
Battery and Charging
The device is powered by a 3,900 mAh battery, supporting 25W wired fast charging to quickly replenish power. It also supports convenient wireless charging and reverse wireless charging capabilities.
Software and AI Features
The Galaxy S25 Edge runs on the latest Android 15 operating system with Samsung’s intuitive One UI 7 interface. It is deeply integrated with Galaxy AI, featuring popular tools like Audio Eraser and Drawing Assist, as well as new functionalities such as Now Brief and Now Bar to enhance user convenience and daily routines. The integration of Gemini Live brings Google’s advanced AI capabilities, allowing for interactive experiences through live camera and screen sharing. The device also benefits from ProScaler, an AI-powered feature that improves display image scaling quality, and Samsung Knox Vault for robust data security. The Galaxy S25 Edge is slated to receive 7 generations of OS upgrades and 7 years of security updates.
Connectivity and Other Features
The Galaxy S25 Edge offers a comprehensive suite of connectivity options, including 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It also features an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The device utilizes an eSIM for cellular connectivity and does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack.
