Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Becomes Best-Selling Snapdragon 8 Elite Device, Outselling All Other Brands

Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Outsells All Other Snapdragon 8 Elite Phones Combined

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series has achieved a significant milestone, with sales exceeding 20 million units by the end of June, according to new market information. This strong performance has not only surpassed Samsung’s internal shipment targets but has also positioned the flagship series to have outsold all other Android rivals using the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite chip combined.

The report, sourced from leaker @UniverseIce, highlights the immense success of Samsung’s latest premium smartphones. What makes this achievement particularly notable is its direct impact on Qualcomm’s chip sales. The Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra exclusively feature the custom-designed “Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy” SoC, a version co-developed by Samsung and Qualcomm. Thanks to the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, this special edition chip has reportedly outsold the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is used by other Android manufacturers.

This sales performance solidifies Samsung’s position as Qualcomm’s most profitable and successful Android partner. The “for Galaxy” chip provides a competitive edge with a higher clock frequency of 4.47GHz, compared to the standard version’s 4.32GHz.

Looking ahead, @UniverseIce also suggests that this trend is likely to continue. The upcoming Galaxy S26 is also expected to feature a “for Galaxy” version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip, which is predicted to similarly outperform its standard counterpart in the market.
