Samsung Strengthens Enterprise Lineup with New Galaxy XCover7 Pro and Tab Active5 Pro
Samsung has officially launched the pro versions of its rugged devices, the Galaxy XCover7 Pro smartphone and the Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro tablet. Designed to meet the demanding needs of frontline workers in industries like construction, hospitality, and public safety, these new devices offer significant performance upgrades, enhanced durability, and enterprise-specific features.
The Galaxy XCover7 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro are not just consumer devices in a durable case; they are purpose-built for harsh work environments. The core of these upgrades is the new Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, which provides a substantial performance boost compared to their predecessors.
Galaxy XCover7 Pro: A Rugged Smartphone Built for the Field

The Galaxy XCover7 Pro phone is a major step up from the base model. It features a larger 4,350mAh battery, a crisp 6.6-inch LCD with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+. For workers who need to operate in all conditions, the display includes a Touch Sensitivity mode that works with gloves up to 2mm thick. The device’s ruggedness is confirmed by its IP68 dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H compliance. Notably, it has also been tested with common sanitisers, making it ideal for healthcare and other sanitation-sensitive workplaces.
Sound quality has been enhanced with stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos support, while customisable “Top” and “XCover” keys can be programmed for critical functions such as push-to-talk, turning the device into a two-way radio. The phone also sports a dual-camera system with a 50MP main sensor and a 13MP front-facing camera. Memory-wise, the phone comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro: A Tablet That Never Stops

The new Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro tablet is designed to be a durable and versatile mobile workstation. It boasts a larger 10.1-inch LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. Its standout feature, however, is the power system. The tablet is equipped with a massive, hot-swappable 10,100mAh battery, which can be replaced without powering down the device. Furthermore, it supports a “No Battery Mode” that allows it to run directly from a power source, a key feature for use as a kiosk or in-vehicle terminal without worrying about battery degradation.
Like the phone, the tablet is IP68-rated and MIL-STD-810H compliant, with the included S Pen also carrying an IP68 rating. Its NFC reader can function through the display, simplifying mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) setups. You also get 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage with the tablet.
Both the Galaxy XCover7 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro are integrated with Samsung’s comprehensive security suite, Knox, and support the Samsung DeX desktop experience, allowing workers to seamlessly transition from the field to a desktop setup.
