One UI 7 Beta Rollout Expands to Foldables and More
Samsung has officially announced the public release timeline for its highly anticipated One UI 7, confirming it will begin rolling out in April 2025. This announcement follows a protracted development process, including a beta programme that saw multiple delays since its initial launch in December 2024.
One UI 7: AI Integration and Potential Future Costs
The company’s press release detailed a phased rollout strategy, beginning with beta programmes for select devices. Notably, the One UI 7 beta for the newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 is opening this week, confirming previous rumours. Users with eligible devices can register through the Samsung Members app. However, they should act quickly. Previous beta sign-ups, such as those for the Galaxy S24 series, closed once capacity was reached.
Following the foldable rollout, Samsung will extend the One UI 7 beta to the Galaxy S23 series and the upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 series. As with the foldables, registration will be handled through the Samsung Members app, with availability confirmed for India, Korea, the U.K., and the U.S., though Samsung notes that “availability may vary by device model and market.”
User Anticipation and Beta Program Details
The anticipation for One UI 7 has been building, particularly after its debut on the Samsung Galaxy S25 series earlier this year, followed by its recent arrival on the budget-friendly Galaxy A series. This gradual rollout has left users of older devices eager for the update.
According to Samsung, One UI 7 will heavily integrate “leading AI agents with multimodal capabilities into every touch point of the interface.” This highlights the company’s focus on enhancing user experience through advanced artificial intelligence.

However, a notable footnote in the US press release reminds users that Galaxy AI features will only be provided free of charge until the end of 2025. While Samsung could extend this timeline, it suggests that users may eventually face subscription fees for these AI-powered functionalities.
After a series of delays and beta expansions, the announcement of the April 2025 public release brings relief to many Galaxy users. With the beta programme now expanding to more devices, Samsung is moving closer to delivering One UI 7 and its AI-driven features to a wider audience.
