Solarvest Powers Malaysia’s First Clean-Energy Pickleball Tournament
Solarvest, a prominent clean energy provider, is set to redefine sustainability in sports by launching the Solarvest Pickleball Cup 2025. This groundbreaking tournament, announced yesterday, will be Malaysia’s first-ever pickleball event powered entirely by 100% renewable energy, taking place from 2nd to 3rd August 2025 at Picklefy in Shah Alam.
A Sustainable Sporting Milestone
The tournament’s commitment to clean energy is underscored by the use of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) for every megawatt (MW) of power supplied, demonstrating a seamless integration of athletic passion and environmental responsibility. The official launch ceremony at Picklefy was graced by Solarvest Group Vice President, Jack Tan; Solarvest ambassador, Ng Tze Yong; and key partners from Baseline AFA and Picklefy. The event promises an exciting lineup of personalities and competitive pickleball players, including Delia Arnold, Jang Han Byul, Natalie Loke, and Khoo Eryang.

Jack Tan, Group Vice President, Global Sales, Assets & Marketing of Solarvest Holdings Berhad, emphasised the company’s broader vision at the ceremony. “At Solarvest, we believe that clean energy is not just about infrastructure – it’s about how we live, work and play,” he shared. “Supporting this sport reflects our belief in building vibrant, healthy communities, while driving sustainable progress. With an expected turnout of 480 players, we hope that this will be one of the most energetic and eco-driven pickleball tournaments Malaysia has ever seen.”
He further added that by embedding sustainability into a dynamic and social sport like pickleball, Solarvest aims to “inspire meaningful conversations around climate action and more sustainable lifestyles.” This initiative marks a new chapter for the company as it continues to lead efforts in making clean energy an integral part of daily life.
Tournament Details and Prizes
The Solarvest Pickleball Cup 2025 is open to the public, inviting players from across Southeast Asia to compete in Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles categories. Participants will vie for over RM35,000 in cash prizes, professional-grade paddles, eco-friendly medals crafted by sustainability partner NatureLoop, a limited edition Solarvest Pickleball Cup Puma jersey, and other exciting gifts.
