If you have young children, it can be challenge filtering content that isn’t meant for their young minds be it streaming movies or music.
Fortunately, Spotify will be releasing a kid-friendly version of their popular streaming app called Spotify Kids that allows Premium Family subscribers to let their kids, age 3 and up, listen freely.
Apart from blocking out explicit content, Spotify Kids also simplifies the app to an easy-to-use interface complete with cute custom avatars and bright colours.
Much of the content will be curated from some of the biggest names in the business including Disney, Nickelodeon and more.
Parents also gain access to parental controls that can help them customise the content that they want their kids to be exposed to.
The move is pretty genius considering that Spotify is one of the primary ways people listen to music and it puts the brand in front of its next generation of customers if you have a cynical world view.
For now, Spotify Kids is still being tested though it is expected to roll out in the coming months.
