Tech Quickie is the daily segment on Adam Lobo TV that brings you all the latest tech news in one place.

Xiaomi Launches HyperCharge

Other than OnePlus, Xiaomi is another brand that is known for testing the limits when it comes to developing new charging technology and todays launch was no different. Xiaomi has introduced 200W wires and 120W wireless charging speeds.

A few hours ago, the brand launched what they call HyperCharge, similar to what their sub-brand Black Shark calls their charging technology. Xiaomi tested these charging speeds on a custom build Mi 11 Pro which packs a 4000mAh battery. The 200W HyperCharge took just 8 minutes to charge up the device from 0-100% and a mere 5 minutes to charge it from 50%-100%. The 120W wireless HyperCharge only took 15 minutes to fully charge the device. The video below shows the Mi 11 Pro being charged up reaching 50% in 3 minutes and 100% in just under 8 minutes when using the 200W wired HyperCharge. It also shows the device being charged wirelessly at 120W and it reached 50% in 7 minutes.

There is no word on if this technology will reach mainstream devices as there are many external factors to take into account such as the heat and battery degradation but nevertheless it is cool that this technology is possible.
