News outlet Android Authority have managed to get their hands on some prototype images of the Realme Book laptop, the first laptop from BBK Electronics. The photos obtained provide us with a much better look at the design and build of the laptop. It also confirms the official name of the laptop and the name of the Realme tablet as well.

BBK electronics have had a major presence in the smartphone world so far as it is the parent company of brands like OnePlus and Oppo but with Realme, the company seems to be doing more than just launching smartphones. Over the years, Realme have been slowly expanding and diversifying their ecosystem. The Realme Book seems like their next step at diversifying even more.

The Realme Book, as seen above, clearly takes inspiration from the MacBook’s design. The CEO of Realme India and Europe have teased the Realme Book on Twitter which gave fans a glimpse at the product. The tease was a laptop peeking out of an office envelope, presumably a play on how Steve Jobs pulled out the MacBook Air from a similar envelope back in 2008.

The device seems to have an aluminium body and thin bezels all around. There are also two speaker grilles under the body which tells us that there will be stereo speakers. This will definitely be a Windows laptop and is expected to be priced competitively based on Realme’s pricing history. The screen also seems to be a 3:2 aspect ratio which could be a key selling point for this laptop. The laptop is rumoured to be charged via USB-C but it is just a rumour for now as the pictures do not really confirm that.

The Realme Pad tablet is also expected to be announced based on this photo from Android Authority. There is no photo of the tablet itself but it is expected to be announced during the Realme GT 5G global launch next week.

From this picture, the tablet seems to include a squared off design, either a single or dual camera setup and possibly a metal build. The Realme Pad and Realme Book are expected to be devices aimed at certain markets in Southeast Asia and Europe.

It is still unknown when exactly these products will be announced but the photos seem to be taken at the location of the Realme GT 5G launch which is happening on June 15 and can be streamed on Realme’s YouTube channel.
