vivo has unveiled the latest addition to its Y100 series, the vivo Y100t 5G, specifically catering to the Chinese market. This new smartphone takes a significant leap forward compared to its predecessors, the Y100 and Y100i, by packing a robust MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset under the hood.
vivo Y100t 5G launched
The vivo Y100t 5G boasts a 6.64-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution. Coupled with a silky-smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset. The device is available in configurations with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM (alongside 8GB of virtual RAM). Storage options come in 256GB and 512GB variants, providing ample space for your apps, photos, videos, and more.
The vivo Y100t 5G prioritises capturing memories with its dual-camera setup. The front-facing 16MP camera enables striking selfies, while the rear boasts a 64MP primary sensor with OIS. A 2MP depth sensor adds artistic bokeh effects, allowing you to capture portrait shots with a pleasingly blurred background.
This smartphone keeps you going throughout the day with its hefty 5,000mAh battery. When power starts to dwindle, the impressive 120W fast-charging technology quickly replenishes the battery, minimising downtime. Beyond performance and visuals, the Y100t 5G offers a convenient side-mounted fingerprint scanner for secure unlocking and NFC functionality for contactless payments. A 3.5mm audio jack caters to those who prefer wired headphones, while the sleek design, available in white or blue, ensures it looks as good as it performs.
Interestingly, the Y100t 5G appears to be closely related to the iQOO Z8x, which launched last year with a Snapdragon 782G chipset. The two phones share remarkably similar specifications, with the primary difference being the processor. This similarity has sparked speculations about a potential global launch under the name “vivo Y100 GT.”
The official price of the vivo Y100t 5G will be revealed on February 23rd, coinciding with its pre-sale launch in China. Stay tuned for further updates on pricing and potential global availability at Adam Lobo TV.
