Apple just announced updates to their operating systems which include iOS 15, macOS Monterey, watchOS 8 and iPadOS 15 at WWDC. The developer preview was made available on the same day as the announcement and the public beta is set to be released next month so the main question everyone had was which hardware would support these new operating systems? Apple usually eliminates support for a few models each year so check out the list below to see if your device is supported for the upcoming year.

watchOS 8
Apple has done the same thing with watchOS this year as all devices that support watchOS 7, will support the new and improved watchOS 8 as well. Here are the devices that Apple included:
- Apple Watch Series 3
- Apple Watch Series 4
- Apple Watch Series 5
- Apple Watch Series 6
- Apple Watch SE
macOS Monterey
Unfortunately, there are certain MacBooks and iMacs that will not receive the update to the new version of macOS this year which includes the likes of the infamous 2015 MacBook, the 2013 MacBook Air, the late 2013 MacBook Pro and the 2014 iMac. Below is the list of Macs set to receive the new update:
- iMac (late 2015 and later)
- iMac Pro (2017 and later)
- Mac Pro (late 2013 and later)
- Mac Mini (late 2014 and later)
- MacBook Pro (early 2015 and later)
- MacBook Air (early 2015 and later)
- MacBook (early 2016 and later)
If your device has been included in this list, you are set to get these updates in the fall, or if you want to take the risk, the public beta of the software will be made available next month.
