After many leaks and teases, Xiaomi has finally unveiled their latest flagship laptop series, the Mi Notebook Pro X in China.
The device has the latest 11th Gen Intel processors and an OLED display. In terms of design, it takes many cues from previous Xiaomi laptops as it includes an aluminium body with thin bezels, a rather large touchpad and beveled edges. The keyboard of the laptop is also backlit and there is a fingerprint scanner baked into the power button.
The Mi Notebook Pro X has a 15.6-inch OLED display with a 3456×2160 resolution and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Xiaomi claims the display packs 100% sRGB and DCI-P3 coverage, DC dimming, and 600 nits of peak brightness.
Users will have a choice between the Core i7-11370H which has a 4.8GHz boost clock or the Core i5-11300H with a 4.4GHz boost clock. Both models come with an Nvidia 3050Ti graphics card and 4GB of GDDR6 RAM, a copper heatsink and dual cooling fan technology. The i5 model will get 16GB of RAM with 512GB of SSD storage while the i7 option will come equipped with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD.
The laptop comes with a USB-C port, a Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB-A. ports an HDMI 2.1 port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also has WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 support. The speakers are tuned by Harman and have DTS audio support. In terms of battery, the laptop comes with a 80Wh cell and 130W USB-C charging.
The laptop also has a 720p webcam and weight 1.9kg with a thickness of under 19mm.
The laptop is available in Space Grey and starts at 7,999 yuan which is around $1238 for the i5 model and the i7 option comes in at 9,999 yuan which is around $1549. Both models are now available for pre-order and the general sales begin in China on July 9th.
