5-in-1 Roborock Dyad Pro Combo: A Game-Changer? 🤔

This is the new Roborock Dyad Pro Combo. It is a wet and dry vacuum that can transform! And there’s more because the Roborock 5-in-1 combo is here to sweep you off your feet – literally!

Dyad Pro vs Dyad Pro Combo

So, I checked out the Roborock Dyad Pro a few months ago, that vacuum is a super solid performer. In this article, I will be highlighting more on the differences between the Dyad Pro and this new Dyad Pro Combo.

At first glance, it looks pretty similar. But when you look a little closer, you’ll see some minor and major differences.

All the buttons on the handle and the wet and dry cleaner head, like the Auto Dispenser, are labeled slightly differently.

It all has the same functionality, but where you would see a more apparent difference is the slightly taller motor, and of course, the handle in front as well. Other than that, from a physical standpoint; it is quite identical.

And since the Roborock Dyad Pro already does what it’s supposed to do really well, Roborock did not stop there. They thought to themselves, “How can we improve this?” and decided to make a slightly taller motor that is detachable so you can use it more than a wet and dry vacuum because it’s no longer a whole vacuum piece but rather two pieces.

So, how it’s done is super simple, as you can see. There will be an eject button; just press the button over there, and the motor detaches from the wet and dry attachment. Easy, right?

From there, just attach it to the dust bin and pick whichever head or accessory that you want to use.

Combo Accessories

Speaking of which, there are a total of 3 included accessories that you can use to attach with.

First off is the Multi-Surface Brush, which is much slimmer than the wet and dry vacuum accessory. This is only used for dry vacuuming. In the box, it comes with a baton or a stick, however you call it, to attach it to the portable motor.

This is, of course, used to vacuum tight places like under your sofa or under your bed easily. But for me, I do not have a bed frame, so not so much for me. But yes, if you do, this will come in clutch.

One major plus is, of course, the weight reduction because this combo is as light as a feather. So you can vacuum much longer without feeling any strain on your arm.

Next is the Motorized Mini-Brush, which is meant for fabric surfaces like your bed or sofa. This is especially handy if you have pets in the house where they like to leave fur here and there and everywhere.

And of course, it’s great for removing dust mites on the bed so you can have a peaceful rest and sleep. sleep.

Then we have the 2-in-1 Cleaning Head. Now this is where you can use the Crevice Tool for hard-to-reach places like between the sofa cushions.

Then the Dusting Brush could be used for situations where the dust is piled up or getting some dust off from the speaker grills of your home theater system, like my Sonos Arc Soundbar, which I use a lot, where this little bit of brushing could loosen up the dust to be sucked up easily.

This brush is also super handy for places with tiny gaps like my keyboard. And you can even extend the attachment a little bit, which would be great for hard-to-reach places like under the seat, where you might get a little extra reach.

Unlike some of the premium brands or even cheaper options, all of these accessories can be stored away in the included Storage Stand. And on the side, there’s the handy cleaning brush, which is also included in the box, and the extra filter for the dirty tank.

So that is already 1, 2, 3, 4 in this 5 combo setup, but where’s the fifth? Oh yes, the fifth is actually the Wet & Dry Vacuum Head.

This is a multi-roller cleaning head that Roborock calls the Dyad Power. A combination of a full-length roller at the back and double front rollers that rotate in different directions, so it is available to sweep and mop at the same time.

Cleaning Tech

So with this Dyad Power at 17,000 Pa of suction power, it means that you can almost never need to go multi passes when cleaning any messes. And this is very similar to the previous Dyad Pro. So whether or not it’s spilled cereal, spilled coffee, or thick dust and dirt, it does the cleaning very effortlessly.

However, what’s different in this new combo is the slightly bigger clean water tank at 950ml compared to 900ml. Besides that, the dirty water tank is the same at 770ml.

The battery is still up to 43 minutes with up to 300 sqm of cleaning range.

And the edge-to-edge roller and the automatic soap dispenser are still very much present, as seen earlier. So you can expect some great results when using the wet and dry vacuum, pretty much like the original Dyad Pro. So yes, it will do great jobs cleaning edges, which is typically harder to clean, like the corners of a kitchen cabinet.

As for the dock, it is also similar where it has the RevoBrush Self-Cleaning and Self-Drying features with up to 50°C of hot air. It has always been a plus point to a point where I don’t have to worry about cleaning and drying at the same time, especially those nasty odors when it doesn’t dry properly.

You can even set how long the drying duration or turn on during the hours that you’re away from home using the app, which I’ll talk about more later.

For the dust bin itself, which is very unique to this combo, it has a capacity of 465ml, where you can expect around 60 minutes of use when used exclusively in this particular mode. That is even more than enough for, say, deep cleaning your car, which you can use this all the way.

Also worth mentioning is the smart DirTect technology or the adaptive cleaning where the circle on the LED screen on the motor will turn red the dirtier the surface is, and progressively turn blue so you know it’s clean. And this is a feature that really made me appreciate the previous Dyad Pro as I’ve never second-guessed myself when doing my wet and dry vacuuming using this particular model.

And similar like the original Dyad Pro, this combo also has smart voice prompts that tell you what you need to do without needing to go through the manual, especially for the first time that you’re using the device.

App

Speaking of the app, the Roborock app also gives you the smartest controls for this Dyad Pro Combo as well.

Here’s where you can get the information of the battery life, change settings like the vacuum modes, water level, and suction power.

Now, personally, I think that this is hands down one of the best apps, both from a functional and an aesthetic point of view. This app is super seamless, easy to navigate, and you can understand each of its functions very easily too.

I’ve been using this app regularly and it’s proven to be reliable and efficient, not with just this Dyad Pro but also other devices like the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, where it has consistently performed well, providing a smooth and seamless user experience.

And also worth mentioning is that it even has an interactive widget on iOS 17 onwards, where you can tell your Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or any Roborock vacuum to start cleaning.

Conclusion

So yes, my friends, the Roborock Dyad Pro Combo gracefully enters the Dyad Pro family. And honestly, it’s like a superhero that we never thought we needed until you have it.

Armed with a plethora of additional accessories, and what’s great is that it is priced at a reasonable RM2,899, which is about USD 605. So yeah, it’s like paying the extra RM500 or USD 104 for this combo compared to the original for a cape and superpowers!
