Hey what’s up guys, Adam Lobo here from Adam Lobo TV and this is the AITO M7 in collaboration with Huawei, so let’s check it out. 

First thing that you all need to know is that this is not specifically a Huawei car, that is a huge misconception for most people because the fact that this is actually a collaboration together with AITO, so AITO is the guy who makes the car and Huawei enhances the whole entire experience.

But what is the exact enhancement which has been done specifically for the vehicle? Well, it is what matters on the inside. Now, first and foremost, the AITO vehicle has two different variants for you guys to choose from – between the M5 and also the M7. 

Now, the main reason why we’re going to be focusing on the M7 is because it feels more of a premium experience as the M5 is slightly smaller in size and will be very much catered for people who just want this more compact car.

But for me, the main highlight of this is the fact that it is not only a bigger size vehicle, but it is also a hybrid vehicle, which means that it is a combination of petrol and also electric, so it’s not a fully electric car.

Now, I personally like the fact that it’s not fully electric, so this would be a great transition for people to go into electric vehicles before really fully committing to that, and the comfort on this is really amazing. 

So for me, the best way to show this is some of the very cool features which have been instilled in this particular M7, so check out these amazing features.

 

Zero Gravity Seat

Now, in a typical old-fashioned or new fashion, when it comes to adjusting seats, you have all the electronic adjustments but you can see these are your typical adjustments and all, yeah well, that is fine, it’s normal…

…but what is very special about the M7 is the fact that it has these two functionalities, which gives you that Zero Gravity function to really make the whole entire seat float and it feels like you’re on a first-class flight.

Now, these two buttons goes into two different functions – one is of course to go back and the other one is to activate the Zero Gravity, so if I just press this once, you can see the whole entire seat move by itself, you don’t need to just press it and hold it and wait for the whole thing to go up and it immediately gives you the floating effect.

Now, what I like specifically is that when it goes up, it kind of slightly tilts towards the left which gives you that sort of feeling that, you know what, you are up in the sky would say, or up in the air, but at the same time, you can see what’s happening because you don’t want to be lying down all the way like that without you knowing what exactly that you’re seeing in front.

Now, with this, you can actually add other functionalities like the massage function and all, which is all based on the amazing screen that you see in front which believes it or not, is powered by Huawei’s very own HarmonyOS, so let’s kind of look into that, although it’s fully in Chinese, for you to kind of understand how that this particular thing works.

 

Infotainment System 

Now, first and foremost, if you’re wondering how come I’m on the left-hand side because here in China, they obviously do not drive on the right-hand side, so you did not get your screens wrong. 

Now, the first impression when I sit here is the fact that it is definitely a premium car it has a very nice leather feel, it smells good, but ultimately when you purchase this car, it’s all about having the proper Huawei experiences I mentioned, which is all based on the amazing 5.6-inch screen in front of the driver and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system right in the middle.

Now, yes the whole entire screen is all in Chinese because this is the Huawei HiCar development which was developed here in China through HarmonyOS. It has voice functionality similar like you see with any other smart cars or any other electric cars as well, and also hybrid cars.

Now, this has all the great functions when it comes to controlling your air-con, when it comes to controlling the music volume and such, and what’s good is that not only we’re talking about controlling the whole system, you can perform actions like, if you want to raise the temperature, you want to put down the temperature, so you can just say it in Chinese.

You can tell the particular voice command, you can actually say, for example, oh I’m feeling hot although I do look hot but yeah, then it will actually kind of decrease the temperature to make the cabin colder, or if you want to see the stars, you can say that and then it can immediately open up the roof as well. 

 

Audio

And what is really good is that earlier we also kind of went through the whole sound experience because it is tuned by Huawei Sound which you can see that all of the speakers at the sides, we have speakers in front, we have the speakers at the side, so we have the mid-range speakers, we have the woofers at the back and also the tweeters in front to really give you the proper Huawei sound experience. 

Now, if you have already experienced all the different kinds of Huawei, the audio quality or the speakers, from their smartphones, from their speakers and stuff, you know that you’ll be having something very good when it comes to the experience on this particular Huawei sound experience on the M7 as well.

 

Specs

And for your spec nerds out there, just so you know that this is the high-spec version, which is powered by a 330kW combined front and back electronic motor that produces 443 horsepower and 660 Nm of torque

with a top speed of 198 km/h and you can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. Then it also has a 40kWh battery pack that provides range up to 1000km on a single charge.

 

Conclusion

Okay, so that is my quick first Impressions and my take on the brand new AITO M7 together with Huawei. It is a very good car, which I think that for those of you who want to go into having a hybrid vehicle, which gives you amazing comfort as well, this should be your choice.

I’m looking forward to going a bit more in-depth and I’m really hoping that this car comes to Malaysia as well!
