HONOR Magic 6 and Magic OS 3 incoming

The poster released by Honor not only confirms the launch date but also hints at the unveiling of the Magic OS 8.0, an update to the brand’s proprietary operating system. The Magic 6 lineup is expected to include three variants. These are the Magic 6, the Magic 6 Pro, and the Magic 6 Porsche Design.

In the realm of camera technology, Honor may deviate from the common choice of the Sony LYT-900 sensor and opt for the one-inch, 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50K primary camera. Charging capabilities are also expected to be impressive. The Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro may potentially be supporting 66W and 100W wired charging, respectively. The Pro variant might also boast a remarkable 50W wireless charging feature, setting a new standard for smartphone charging technology.

A noteworthy feature of the upcoming series is its potential for two-way satellite communication. This will position Honor as the second Chinese brand to offer this capability. Currently, Huawei is the only Chinese brand providing satellite communication support for its smartphones.

Honor has also confirmed its partnership with the Porsche Design studio. They are hinting at the potential existence of a premium variant in the Magic 6 series, possibly named Magic 6 Porsche Design, to enhance its distinctive features.
