Xiaomi has just launched a brand new Redmi Note 10 Pro in China, but it is not the same Note 10 Pro that is sold globally. The new variant looks similar to the variant sold globally but does have a different camera layout, a new chip under the hood and three new colours.

The new Redmi Note 10 Pro comes equipped with a new MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC, a new liquid cooling system, UFS storage and a 5,000 mAh battery. It has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ 120Hz display, a 240Hz touch sampling rate and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The new MediaTek chipset is on paper more powerful than the Snapdragon 732G that powers the previous Redmi Note 10 Pro.

The new variant also comes with a 64MP camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a macro lens. This however is a downgrade when compared to the 108MP sensor that is available on the global version of the device. The new Redmi Note 10 Pro however does come with 67W charging compared to the 33W available on the global variant. The device has currently only been launched in China so stay tuned to see if Redmi will bring it to the global market as well.

2. OnePlus Confirm Nord 2?

On May 25th, OnePlus announced that with every OnePlus device sold in Europe, they will bundle in Stadia Premier Edition as well and when this was advertised on their website, certain people noticed something else as well.

According to a report from Android Police, the FAQ part of the website stated that the Nord 2 was a device that qualified for this deal as well. This has since been removed but Android Police did manage to capture a screenshot of the page.

This does suggest that the Nord 2 is not too far away and there have already been many rumours about the device. It seems set to launch with a MediaTek processor and it might be the Dimensity 1200 processor which will provide more CPU and GPU power over the current Snapdragon 765G on the original Nord.

There have been no other rumoured specs about the Nord 2, but users will be hoping for better cameras and more Android updates.

3. Pixel 6 Set To Use Similar GPU To The S21

The Pixel 6 is set to come with a custom Google chip but nobody has any idea how powerful this device might actually be. However,  XDA reader akes29 noticed that a Google employee left a system log revealing problems with a “P21” device, believed to be the Pixel 6, running a high-end Mali-G78 GPU.

This GPU is the same GPU that can be found in the S21 devices that have a Exynos processor and is considered to be a flagship grade GPU. This should also make the device much more of a powerhouse compared to the Pixel 5 which has a Snapdragon 765G and an Adreno 620 GPU. It’s unclear just how many cores P21 would have. Phone makers can customize a Mali GPU to meet their performance and budget needs, and it wouldn’t be surprising if Google used something closer to the S21’s 14-core part in the Pixel 6 than a full 24-core implementation.

If rumours are to be believed, the Pixel 6 could be a powerful flagship which is what certain Pixel fans have been waiting for. The device is set to launch later in the year so only time will tell.
