I’m sure you love your cat, but your house smells like your cat, looks like your cat, and your sofa is basically your cat’s fur. While everyone tells you to just buy an air purifier, that doesn’t fix where your cat sleeps, and definitely doesn’t tell you if your cat is secretly gaining some weight.
So, I tested Malaysia’s first cat specific air purifier, the LG PuriCare™ AeroCatTower Air Purifier for 2 weeks to find out if what LG says it can offer actually is worth your money.
So, what exactly is this? It’s a 4-in-1 product which is a combination of:

So, basically, it’s an air purifier that blends into your home and at the same time doubling as a stylish cat tower. Let’s break down all of the core features.
Heated Dome Seat
Let’s start from the top, which is the Heated Dome Seat. So, this lets your cat get a warm sensor activated resting spot. So, my cat tried it once and then tried it again and then she claimed it as her rightful property like: “This is mine now” because as usual, she’s the true boss of the house.
As the name suggests, this has a dome-shaped structure which gives the sense of being protected and safe physically. Then there’s also a nice soft pad for your cat to rest on too. Hence the heat is not directly in contact with your cat.
Then the dome seat has two heat modes. One that only activates when your cat sits on it. And the other one that gives a steady consistent timed warmth. Plus there’s also time options too between 30 minutes, 8 hours, 1 to 12 hours, and even up to 7 days.
But there are two more things that are worth mentioning. First, the recommended temperature for kittens is around 34°C +- and about 39°C +- for adult cats.
Then there’s also a weight limit for this particular dome-shaped seat, which is up to 15 kgs, which should be more than good enough unless you have a cat named Garfield.
But what’s even great is that LG has cleverly placed all of the function buttons underneath over here. And this is so your cat doesn’t accidentally press any of the buttons while resting on top, which happens to regular purifiers when your cat becomes, you know, curious.
Speaking of buttons, here’s where you’ll find the power on and off button, the fan speed control, and turning the heat on and off with clear light indicators above so you know which button does what.
But these buttons and functions could also be controlled on the LG ThinQ app as well, and more on the app later on. So all of this clearly means that LG has come up with a heated dome seat with both form and function all at the same time.
Unique Cat-Safe Design
Then just below that is another thing that is unique and safe for your cat because instead of LG just giving you a heated dome seat and saying: “Okay then there you go enjoy. Bye-bye.” They also included a step platform for your cat for easy climbing. While Luna uses this to climb up easily, she actually prefers to YOLO and jump down instead, which many cats are not very fond of, especially jumping from higher places.
So, this would be perfect for cats with shorter legs, like a munchkin breed, for example. So, yes, this is another very well-thought-out thing that LG has done, which also means that someone in LG definitely owns a cat.
Total Air Purification
But all of this only makes sense if the purification is topnotch, right? Which is why this has a 360-degree air purification. So you don’t have to worry about facing this in a particular direction, which means that you can place it at the side, angled like what I’ve done over here. Or you can imagine this as a statement piece right in the center of your living room, which I wish I had the space to actually do that.
Then there’s also the Multi-Filtration System with HEPA filters where different filters have different tasks. So what each layer does is that the Pre-Filter captures the big particles including the pet fur and dust. Next, the HEPA Filter traps 99.999% of particles as small as 0.01 micron. And finally, the Deodorization Filter also helps to remove the household odors, smog, and airborne chemicals.
On top of that, there’s also the UVnano, which helps to eliminate 99.99% of bacteria and viruses from the fan blades. And yes, these filters were tested for 99% of pet hair and odor and allergens in my home, not in a lab. And yes, it worked very well. But there’s also the Turbo Mode that runs for 20 minutes to clear airborne cat fur very fast.
Pet Care Tracking + LG ThinQ App
Remember I mentioned about how you can control everything within the LG ThinQ app. Well, besides turning it on and off or adjusting the fan speed, there’s so much more that you can do over here, like tracking your cat’s weight and resting time on the heated dome. So, now you have an app that can tell you if your cat slept more today, which is either helpful or emotionally damaging.
Then there’s other features too, like checking the air quality, turning the heat on and off, and also toggling the Cat Relax Mode, which is the quiet mode, where it purifies the air at noise level as low as 21 dB, so it doesn’t disturb you or your cat when resting. Now, for context, a quiet car is about 50 dB and a library is about 60 dB. So, imagine how quiet this is.
In the app, you can also set schedule, turn the UVnano on or off. And under the “Useful Features” tab, you can see the Filter Remaining percentage, your cat’s resting history, Energy Monitoring, Smart Diagnosis, and the Product User Manual over there.
So yes, like other LG purifiers, the app is very extensive, which also means that you can control this LG PuriCare™ AeroCatTower Air Purifier from anywhere across the world as long as you have an internet connection.
Conclusion
So, after living with this particular LG PuriCare™ AeroCatTower Air Purifier, here is the honest truth. This isn’t only about clean air. It’s finally not choosing between your comfort and your cat’s comfort. It’s about having 4 unique features to fix 1 major problem.
So, here’s the real question. It’s not about whether or not it’s good or is it expensive. The real question is how useful it is for your cat and for yourself. And with everything mentioned, that is a HUGE yes.
