TL;DR: The vivo V70 launches in Malaysia from RM1,999 with ZEISS cameras, a 1.5K OLED display, a 6500mAh battery and AI features powered by OriginOS 6. Launch promotions include freebies, instalment plans and trade-in rebates.
The vivo V70 has officially launched in Malaysia, bringing a refreshed design, upgraded ZEISS-powered camera system, and a large battery with fast charging. The new V series smartphone starts at RM1,999 locally and introduces several AI-powered photography and productivity tools alongside a premium design.
ZEISS-Powered Camera System with Telephoto Zoom

Photography is a major focus of the vivo V70. The phone features a camera system co-engineered with ZEISS, headlined by a 50MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera using a 1/1.95-inch sensor with optical image stabilisation. The periscope design allows for higher zoom levels without increasing the phone’s thickness.
The rear camera setup also includes a 50MP ZEISS main camera with a larger 1/1.56-inch sensor and OIS, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide camera for wider shots. On the front, the device is equipped with a 50MP ZEISS group selfie camera with autofocus for sharper self-portraits and group photos.
One standout feature is the new AI Stage Mode, designed to capture performances and events from a distance. When paired with the telephoto lens and AI image enhancement algorithms, the phone can achieve up to 10× zoom for clearer stage photos.
Portrait photography is also enhanced by ZEISS Multifocal Portrait modes, including an 85mm portrait option with ZEISS Sonnar-style bokeh and a 100mm close-up portrait mode with ZEISS Planar-style effects.
For video, the vivo V70 brings 4K 60fps recording to the V series for the first time. It also includes AI Audio Noise Eraser, which can identify and remove unwanted sounds from video recordings during post-editing.
AI Editing Tools for Photography and Video
Beyond capturing photos, the device introduces several AI tools aimed at simplifying editing directly on the phone. Features such as AI Magic Weather can modify skies and lighting conditions in photos, while AI Magic Landscape allows users to apply different geographic scenery styles to their images.
Other editing tools include AI Erase for removing unwanted objects, AI Magic Move, AI Image Expander and AI Colour Adjustment. These features are designed to help users quickly improve photos without needing external editing apps.
Sleek Design with 1.5K OLED Display

The vivo V70 adopts a refined design featuring an aerospace-grade aluminium alloy frame and ultra-thin bezels measuring just 1.25mm. The front of the phone houses a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a pixel density of 459ppi for sharper visuals.
The display also integrates a 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanning 2.0 sensor that allows for faster unlocking even with wet fingers.

On the rear, the device uses etched AG glass designed to resist fingerprints and scratches. It will be available in three colours: Golden Hour, Alpine Gray and Authentic Black.
Durability is another highlight. The device carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and includes 10-facet drop resistance designed to withstand falls from up to 1.5 metres.
OriginOS 6 Brings AI Features and Productivity Tools
The smartphone runs on OriginOS 6, which introduces deeper AI integration and several productivity features. Among them is Origin Island, a dynamic capsule that surfaces contextual information and quick actions.
Other features, such as Copy & Go, Drag & Go, and Suggestion Island, aim to speed up everyday tasks by recognising user context and intent.
AI-powered productivity tools are also included. AI Search allows users to find files or settings using natural language, while AI Creation assists with writing tasks. AI Captions can provide real-time transcription, translation and meeting summaries.
The system also integrates Google Gemini for conversational assistance and smart suggestions.
vivo also promises four generations of Android upgrades and up to six years of security updates for the device.
Performance, Cooling and Battery
Under the hood, the vivo V70 uses LPDDR5X RAM paired with UFS 4.1 storage for faster app launches and file transfers. To maintain performance during intensive tasks such as gaming or video editing, the device includes a large 4200mm² vapour chamber cooling system.
Battery life is supported by a 6500mAh BlueVolt battery, designed to deliver all-day usage. The phone also supports 90W FlashCharge, allowing users to quickly top up the battery when needed.
