Apple Intelligence Features Delayed, Pushing Back Launch Beyond iOS 18

Apple Delays Apple Intelligence Features, Pushing Back Launch Beyond iOS 18

Apple’s highly anticipated artificial intelligence features will not be included in the initial release of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, according to Bloomberg News. The tech giant plans to roll out its Apple Intelligence feature in October, a few weeks after the September launch of the new operating systems.

This delay comes as Apple aims to refine the AI capabilities before a wider release. To expedite development and testing, the company will offer early access to Apple Intelligence for software developers through beta versions of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1, as early as this week.

Apple Intelligence leverages AI to generate text, images, and other content. It will be available on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. It will also be available on iPad and Mac models equipped with the M1 chip or later.

The delay in AI feature rollout follows Apple’s recent postponement of three AI-related features due to compliance issues with the European Union’s Digital Markets Act. Despite these setbacks, the company remains committed to integrating AI into its product lineup, as evidenced by its June announcement of new features and software enhancements aimed at boosting sales.

While the delay might disappoint some users eager to experience the latest AI advancements, it also suggests Apple’s focus on delivering a polished and refined product.
