Apple has some good news for Malaysian customers looking to upgrade their devices! They’ve launched a new Apple Trade In programme on the Malaysian website. This programme enables you to trade in your old iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Mac. You can exchange them for store credit. This credit can be used towards purchasing a brand new Apple device.
There are a variety of devices eligible for the programme. For iPhones, any model from the 6 Plus onwards qualifies, with trade-in values ranging from RM150 to RM3,900 depending on the condition. Apple Watches from Series 5 and newer are also accepted, with a trading in value between RM350 and RM1,950.
The programme extends to iPads as well, including the iPad Mini, Air, and Pro. These can fetch you a trade-in value of RM100 to RM4,200. Finally, Macs of all varieties are included, encompassing the Macbook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, iMac Pro, Mac Mini, and Mac Pro. Trade-in values for Macs range from RM350 to a hefty RM11,650.
How Apple Trade In Works
-
- When buying a new Apple device online, enter your old device’s details during checkout.
- Apple will estimate the trade-in value based on the condition.
- Upon confirmation, Apple will send instructions on how to prepare and send your old device.
- You have 14 days after receiving your new device to send in the old one.
- Apple will re-evaluate the condition and may adjust the trade-in value. You can choose to accept or reject the offer.
- If the trade-in value is higher than your new device cost, the remaining credit will be added to your Apple gift card balance.
It’s important to note that Apple may adjust the trade-in value after they evaluate the condition of your old device upon receiving it. However, you’ll have the option to accept or reject the new offer. And if the trade-in value is higher than the cost of your new device, the remaining credit will be added to your Apple gift card balance.
As an added bonus, Apple also offers a free electronic waste recycling programme. This programme accepts any brand of electronic device, including hard drives, displays, printers, and headphones. So, even if your old device isn’t eligible for the trade-in programme, you can still dispose of it responsibly through Apple’s recycling initiative.
