Final Cut Pro to Introduce New “Transcribe to Captions” Feature for AI-Generated Captions
Apple has announced that its professional video editing software, Final Cut Pro, is set to receive a significant AI-powered upgrade. The upcoming feature, showcased in the recent Mac mini announcement video, will enable automatic caption generation directly within the software.
Currently, adding captions to videos in FCP requires the use of external software, plugins, or manual input. However, with the integration of AI, users will be able to streamline their workflow and save valuable time.
While Apple did not elaborate on the specific details of the AI-powered captioning feature, a brief glimpse in the video also hinted at the introduction of a new “Magnetic Mask” function and AI-enhanced effects.
The upcoming 2024 FCP Creative Summit in November is anticipated to shed more light on these new AI features and other potential enhancements to FCP.
