New Geekbench AI Tool Released
Primate Labs, the developer behind the popular benchmarking utility Geekbench, has introduced a new cross-platform tool designed to evaluate the Artificial Intelligence capabilities of devices. Called Geekbench AI, the software measures a device’s CPU, GPU, and NPU (neural processing unit) performance when handling machine learning tasks. This comprehensive approach provides insights into a device’s overall AI prowess.
Previously known as Geekbench ML, the tool has been in development for several years. The name change to AI better reflects the software’s focus. The new tool goes beyond simply measuring speed, and also assessing accuracy to provide a more holistic view of a device’s AI performance. The benchmark supports popular AI frameworks such as ONNX, CoreML, TensorFlow Lite, and OpenVino, enabling a wide range of comparisons.
With Geekbench AI, users can expect to see a clearer picture of how different hardware configurations handle various AI-related workloads.
