Looks Like Google Pixel 9 Series is Coming to Malaysia
In a surprising move that has sent ripples through the local tech community, Google Malaysia has dropped a tantalizing teaser of the highly anticipated Pixel 9 series on its X and YouTube platforms. This unexpected development strongly suggests that the tech giant is finally set to officially enter the Malaysian smartphone market.
If confirmed, the Pixel 9 series will mark Google’s first-ever official foray into Malaysia. The devices are scheduled for a global unveiling on August 14, 2024. As with previous launches, several details have already leaked ahead of time.
One of the most exciting revelations is the promise of faster charging compared to its predecessor with a rumoured charging speed of 45W. Additionally, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is expected to house a 5,060mAh battery. This offers a slight upgrade over the Pixel 8 Pro. Google has also committed to a “24 hours of battery life” for all models.

The teaser also provides a glimpse of the Pixel 9 series’ new design. It confirms earlier leaks of a pill-shaped camera island. This camera island stands independently from the phone’s frame.
As the official launch date draws near, anticipation is building among Malaysian tech enthusiasts who are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to get their hands on Google’s flagship smartphones.
