The main device of this new flagship lineup is the Honor 50 Pro which has a 6.72-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2676 x 1236. It is also a 120Hz refresh rate display and has a touch sampling rate of 300Hz. The Honor 50 on the other hand is a slightly smaller device that comes equipped with a 6.57-inch FHD display with the same features as the Pro variant.

In terms of the camera, both phones have a 108MP main lens and are flanked by a 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2Mp depth sensor. Unfortunately the Honor 50 series misses out on a telephoto lens. The Honor 50 Pro also comes with a dual front facing camera system which includes a 32Mp main sensor and a 12MP ultrawide lens. The Honor 50 on the other hand only has a 32MP single selfie camera. Honor says that these cameras were designed with the younger people in mind who like to vlog more.

In terms of what is powering this device, both phones use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip and have 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. They also come with Android 11 out of the box with the MagicUI 4.2 skin on top of it. Honor says that international units will also ship with Google Mobile Services too.

This is great news as it means that users will be able to access all their apps such as Netflix, YouTube, Drive and would not have to side load them. The last Honor flagship to have Google Mobile Services was the Honor 20 line.

The Honor 50 Pro has a smaller 4000mAh battery and the Honor 50 has a 4300mAh battery. The Pro does come with 100W fast charging with the none Pro variant getting 66W fast charging. Both these devices will come in Frost Crystal, Amber Red, Emerald Green and Midnight Black.

Honor 50 SE

The company also announced a third device, the Honor 50 SE. This is the midrange device of the lineup. It comes with a flat 6.78-inch FHD display and a 120Hz refresh rate. The camera setup includes a 108MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The front facing camera is a 16MP lens.

Unlike the Snapdragon chip on the Honor 50 and 50 Pro, the Honor 50 SE will come powered with a MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It will come packed with a 4000mAh battery and support 66W fast charging. It comes shipped with MagicUI 4.2 on top of Android 11 and is available in three colours; Black, Blue and Silver.

The devices will be available in China first but will also be coming to Malaysia so stay tuned for the official Malaysian pricing.
