BRÄNNBOLL offers 20 versatile pieces. They cater to the comfort and engagement gamers crave during playtime. These pieces seamlessly blend into the home environment when the game is off.

This launch comes as the global gaming community explodes, reaching a staggering 3.3 billion strong. Gaming has transcended demographics, becoming a major part of everyday life for people of all ages and skill levels. BRÄNNBOLL builds on the success of IKEA’s first gaming series with Republic of Gamers in 2021, focusing on solutions for casual gamers who prioritise both style and functionality. This collection empowers players to effortlessly switch between platforms, postures, and even play together.

Functional Furniture for Flexible Play

The BRÄNNBOLL collection boasts a range of furniture, storage solutions, and accessories designed to elevate the gaming experience and seamlessly integrate into daily life. Many pieces boast multiple functions and are mobile, allowing gamers to create an immersive environment and then effortlessly transition back to their regular living space.

“BRÄNNBOLL embraces the idea that gaming belongs everywhere in the home,” says Philip Dilé, Product Design Developer at IKEA of Sweden. “We want to make it easy for people to create spaces that adapt to gaming, living, and everything in between.”

Seating takes centre stage, featuring ergonomic chairs that cater to various postures and scenarios. The collection even features an inflatable chair, aiming to redeem past attempts at introducing inflatable furniture.

A key highlight is the BRÄNNBOLL gaming station. This versatile piece boasts a foldable tabletop, integrated PC tower storage, and efficient cable management. It transforms effortlessly from a dedicated gaming zone to a discreet storage unit.

Complementing the core furniture are storage solutions like wall-mounted cabinets, mobile casters, side tables, and a multi-functional basket that doubles as a standing table. To personalise the space, the collection offers accessories like mouse pads, rugs, and throws.

Aesthetics Redefined: Sports Meet Gaming

BRÄNNBOLL diverges from conventional gaming aesthetics, opting for vibrant colours and street sports-inspired elements. This choice infuses the game with a lively and playful atmosphere. It seamlessly combines the dynamism of athletics with the comfort and performance gamers require.

The BRÄNNBOLL easy chair exemplifies this philosophy. It re-imagines furniture as a dynamic element of the gaming experience, engaging players physically by swinging in sync with their in-game movements. Designer David Wahl of IKEA of Sweden hopes this connection will lead to a more immersive and engaging gaming experience.
