The Pixel 10a is Coming Sooner Than You Think
A flurry of new leaks has exposed nearly every detail of Google’s upcoming Pixel 10a, suggesting a release that is much sooner and potentially cheaper than anyone anticipated.
While exclusive renders published by Android Headlines initially showed the device in a standard “Obsidian” black finish, new information from reliable tipster Roland Quandt has blown the lid off the phone’s full release strategy.
According to Quandt, Google plans to break its traditional release cycle by launching the Pixel 10a as early as mid-February 2026. Specific retailer listings point to a potential date of February 17, which would be nearly two months earlier than the Pixel 9a’s debut last year. This aggressive timeline suggests Google is keen to capture the post-holiday market rather than waiting for its usual spring I/O window.
The leaks also detail a vibrant new colour palette. Alongside the standard Obsidian (black) and Fog (off-white), the Pixel 10a is expected to ship in Lavender and a bold new Berry red option.
Perhaps most significantly for budget-conscious buyers, European pricing is rumoured to be lower than its predecessor. Leaked figures suggest the 128GB model will retail for approximately €500, with the 256GB version at €600, a notable drop from the Pixel 9a’s launch price. In the US, the price is expected to hold steady at the competitive $499 mark.
Let’s see how the Malaysian pricing turns out when or if the device comes to town.
Design and Specs

Visually, the device appears virtually identical to the Pixel 9a, featuring a flat back and noticeable bezels. Internally, however, it remains a powerhouse for its class:
- Display: 6.3-inch 120Hz panel
- Battery: A massive 5,100mAh unit (capped at 23W charging)
- Memory: 8GB RAM with 128GB/256GB storage options
The reports also corroborate earlier rumours regarding the chipset. The Pixel 10a will likely stick with a “souped-up” version of the Tensor G4 processor rather than jumping to the next-gen silicon found in flagship models. This cost-saving measure appears to be the trade-off for the aggressive pricing and massive battery life.
Google has not yet officially confirmed these details, but with a potential launch just weeks away, an announcement is likely imminent.
