MediaTek today announced the launch of its latest high-performance mobile chipset, the Dimensity 9400e, further expanding its portfolio of flagship-class processors. The new chipset features the company’s advanced “All Big Core” architecture, promising exceptional performance, energy efficiency, and enhanced capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI), connectivity, imaging, and gaming for future smartphones.
Built on TSMC’s third-generation 4nm process, the Dimensity 9400e’s “All Big Core” CPU architecture comprises four high-performance Cortex-X4 super cores clocked up to 3.4GHz and four Cortex-A720 big cores running at 2.0GHz. This powerful configuration is designed to handle demanding multitasking and complex applications while maintaining optimal power efficiency.
Enhanced Graphics and Gaming Capabilities
When it comes to graphics-intensive tasks and gaming, the chipset integrates a flagship 12-core Immortalis-G720 GPU. As a result, it promises powerful graphics rendering capabilities and, moreover, supports hardware-level mobile ray tracing technology. Gaming enthusiasts can also look forward to smooth and responsive gameplay thanks to MediaTek HyperEngine technology. The Dimensity 9400e supports MediaTek Adaptive Gaming Technology (MAGT 2.0), which enables real-time performance scheduling between the chipset and games for stable high frame rates and reduced power consumption. Additionally, MediaTek Frame Rate Converter (MFRC 2.0+) is supported, potentially reducing power consumption by up to 40% when enabled.

In the realm of Artificial Intelligence, the Dimensity 9400e leverages the latest MediaTek NeuroPilot SDK, facilitating fast, personalized, and secure generative AI applications. It features enhanced inference decoding technology (SpD+) to accelerate the computational efficiency of large language models. The chipset supports various global mainstream large language models and small language models, enabling on-device operation of models like DeepSeek-R1-Distill (Qwen1.5B/Llama7B/Llama8B), as well as Gemini Nano with Multimodality and LLaVA-1.5 7B.

Photography and videography are also key focuses, with the Dimensity 9400e featuring a flagship 18-bit RAW ISP.
