Motorola’s Resurrects Its Popular Razr Phone

So you may be wondering what is the big deal about Motorola’s latest smartphone the Razr? On the outside, it looks like an antiquated flip phone that is 15 years too late to the game.

Well, you would be sadly mistaken because Motorola has revitalised its classic Razr phone. It now comes with all-new modern features you would come to expect on a 2019 smartphone like Android OS, modern camera and 4G connectivity. But most surprisingly, the Razr quietly slips itself into 2019’s heated foldable display race and it just might have won.

There is plenty to like about in the Razr, it retains the original’s clamshell design and even has a 2.7-inch OLED display on the outside that shows you all your notifications and it flips open to show an extra tall 6.2-inch OLED display.

One of the most impressive feats Motorola has achieved with the Razr is that it uses a complicated mechanism of multiple hinges and sliding plates that result in a flexible display that has absolutely no crease.

While it has some pretty sweet innovations in its design, the Razr actually sports a rather modest spec sheet with a Snapdragon 710 processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

It has a single 16-Megapixel camera that sits on the top lid, sharing the real estate with the 2.7-inch OLED display and it can even be used together with said display to take high-resolution selfies. But it also has a dedicated 5-Megapixel selfie camera on the inside.

Given that the Motorola Razr’s design is so unique this is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise standard market that repeatedly churns out rectangular phones for the past 10 years. Suffice to say you will definitely be the centre of attention with the Motorola Razr.
