Nothing has unveiled its upcoming audio products: the Nothing Ear and the Nothing Ear (a). This comes after weeks of teasing, including a cryptic ad featuring a frog.

Previously, fans eagerly awaited the arrival of the presumed “Ear (3)” based on earlier hints. However, in a surprising move, Nothing is shaking things up by ditching numbers from its naming strategy altogether. They explain this shift as a way to “center the focus around the product and the unique experience it delivers for each user.” This approach certainly echoes Apple’s strategy for products outside of the iPhone line, prioritizing brand recognition over numerical iterations.
The Ear (a) likely represents a more affordable counterpart to the flagship Nothing Ear, mirroring the company’s approach with their phone offerings. Whether this translates to a direct successor of the budget-conscious Ear (stick) with its distinct design remains unanswered. Thankfully, the wait for these details won’t be long – all will be revealed on the official launch date of April 18th.
For now you can check out our review of Nothing’s latest release, the Nothing Phone 2 (a). You can also check out the device through the official Nothing website and purchase it through Shopee or Lazada.
