Nothing is gearing up to expand its smartphone lineup once again. Just months after the release of the Phone (2a), the tech startup is set to unveil the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus on July 31st. While details are scarce, it’s safe to assume that this upcoming device will be a souped-up version of its predecessor.

The original Phone (2a) was a solid mid-ranger, but it wasn’t without its shortcomings. The smaller screen struggled with HDR content. Performance was inconsistent, and there was no wireless charging. These were key areas for improvement. With the (2a) Plus, Nothing is expected to address these issues. Potential upgrades include a better processor, increased RAM and storage, an enhanced camera system, and improved battery capacity and charging speed.
As a quick recap, the Phone (2a) boasts a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset, a dual 50MP camera setup, IP54 water and dust resistance, and a 5000mAh battery with 45W charging. It’s priced at RM1,699.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on the upcoming weeks for more information about the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus. Stay tuned!
