Nothing Phone (4a) Revealed: New Glyph Bar, Vibrant Colours, and Upgraded Specs
TL;DR: Nothing has officially revealed the design of the Phone (4a) ahead of its March 5 launch. The device features a new “Glyph Bar” lighting system, a dual-tone semi-transparent back, and new colour options, including blue and pink. Leaked specs point to a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, a 5,400mAh battery, and a triple camera setup with a 50MP telephoto lens.
As Nothing prepares to launch its Nothing Phone (4a) series on 5 March, the brand has finally given fans an official look at the device, confirming a major design shift.

While retaining Nothing’s signature semi-transparent aesthetic, the Phone (4a) introduces a more exposed lower back with a dual-tone approach. Breaking away from its strict monochrome history, the device will be available in four colours: white, black, blue, and pink.
Nothing has also moved the Essential key to the left side, clearly separating it from the power and volume buttons on the right.
Enter the Glyph Bar
The Nothing Phone (4a) replaces the traditional Glyph Interface with a new “Glyph Bar.” Positioned next to the camera island, it features six square LEDs, each housing nine individually controllable mini-LEDs. Nothing confirms this setup is brighter than previous iterations while remaining fully programmable for custom notifications and lighting effects.
Leaked specifications suggest the Phone (4a) will be a serious mid-range contender. It reportedly features a 6.78-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
A massive 5,400mAh battery with 50W wired fast charging keeps the device running. For photography, the rear camera trio includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide lens.
