OPPO Launches OPPO Find X9 Series with 200MP Telephoto, 7500mAh Battery
OPPO has launched its new flagship smartphones, the OPPO Find X9 and Find X9 Pro. The series aims to compete at the high end of the market by focusing on a new Hasselblad co-engineered camera system, high-capacity batteries, and the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset.
New Hasselblad Camera System
The camera system is the launch’s main focus. The OPPO Find X9 Pro features a 200MP Hasselblad Telephoto camera built on a 1/1.56-inch sensor with an f/2.1 aperture and a 10cm minimum focus distance for macro capabilities. This is paired with an “Ultra XDR Main Camera” featuring a 1/1.28-inch Sony LYT 828 sensor.
The standard OPPO Find X9 includes a 50MP main camera (Sony LYT-808), a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto. Both models also feature a “True Color Camera,” which OPPO describes as a dedicated spectral sensor for more accurate colour reproduction in difficult lighting.
OPPO’s new LUMO Image Engine, a suite of computational photography algorithms, powers the cameras to enhance clarity and dynamic range. This engine enables the phones to capture full 50MP photos by default in bright light. The series also introduces 4K Motion Photos, an upgrade from the previous 1080p.
The OPPO Find X9 Pro can achieve 13.2x lossless zoom by cropping its large sensor, with digital zoom reaching 120x. A new “Stage Mode” is included, designed to capture concert photos with enhanced contrast. Both models support 4K 120fps Dolby Vision recording.
Battery and Performance Specifications
The Find X9 Pro features a 7500mAh battery, whereas the Find X9 boasts a 7025mAh battery. According to OPPO, these large capacities are made possible by third-generation Silicon-Carbon battery technology. The company claims the battery will retain over 80% of its capacity after five years of typical use. Both models support 80W SUPERVOOC wired and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging.
The series is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, built on TSMC’s 3nm process. The phones feature a flat-edged design with a flat display, 1.15mm bezels, and 3600 nits peak brightness. The series also has IP66, IP68, and IP69 durability ratings for dust and water resistance.
ColorOS 16 and Availability
The phones will be the first to run ColorOS 16, which includes new AI features like AI Recorder for summaries and AI Portrait Glow for enhancing low-light portraits.
In Malaysia, the OPPO Find X9 and Find X9 Pro are available for pre-order until 7 November, with sales starting on 8 November. Both come in a 16GB + 512GB configuration.
Pricing is RM3,699 for the Find X9 and RM4,999 for the Find X9 Pro (pre-order price).
